    Vance,

    Thanks for the note.

I did get better. Switching to bamboo helped, I think, and so did some stretching exercises a student of mine "prescribed" from an internship she did with a orthropod. Overall, it sounds like I've had it way easier than you.

Can you give me any more details about fishing soft hackles? I fish them like a nymph and on the swing. I'm unfamiliar with the "mend and feed line" technique.

    best wishes, Jim

Glad to hear you're feeling better! Sometimes, we take our health for granted until an injury happens.
My injuries sustained in the gulf limited the use of my left arm(I'm left handed). I had to learn to tie flies and fish right handed. I've actually become very proficient. However, the first few outings were rough-the 3rd trip, I figured some things out. I could cast upstream(which wasn't very far at this time) mend the line, then start stripping out slack line. The water would do the rest of the work. This was the closest way to swing the fly downstream.
    Best wishes,
    Vance

    Hi Vance,
I have heard back from the director of PHWFF, and he is positive that we will have this occur. This is great! I appreciate your support, and will stay in touch. I am sure I will need more help as time goes by.
    Regards,
    Chris
